Album Editions and Tier Correction (Album Upgrade Pricing)

Album Editions - Standard vs Kickstarter

There has been some confusion about what the Kickstarter edition of the album is and how it's different from the standard edition (and from the art book). We've added a FAQ to address this, so if you have any question about it, please visit the FAQ, and feel free to ask if you still have any questions!

Tier Correction - Album Upgrade Pricing

There was a mistake in the pricing for the upgrade to the Kickstarter edition of the album. Kickstarter doesn't allow us to fix that once a pledge has been made to that tier, so we'll have to make that correction here:

For every tier that includes an album, the price for the upgrade is $10. This is the same for the digital upgrade as it is for the physical. If the tier includes both the physical and the digital version, then will be upgraded for the $10 price (total). The tiers that specify automatic upgrade will remain the same.

When Will the Upgrade Happen?

The Kickstarter edition of the album will become available during Goal 2. There is no need to increase your pledge by the $10 for the upgrade until we make it available (unless you just want to help us reach our goals faster!)

Where We Are - and Thank you!

First of all - WOW!! In our first week of our public launch we reached 1/3 of our primary goal, and we are already over $40K! That's absolutely incredible! Thank you all! This is an amazing community, and we are so grateful for your support and comments and encouragement! Many of you have been sharing this like crazy, and it shows! Help has been pouring in from all around the globe and so many people want to see this be made!

Since we launched, we've been #1 on Kickstraq's Hot List: Music Projects (with a little wavering to the #2 spot, but we're still #1 today). When we first launched, we were #1 on Kickstarter's Most Popular in the music category - and we stayed that way for a few days. Currently, we're trending at #2. We've also been #6 on their Most Popular in any genre! This is just astounding!!

Great Feedback Yields Great Changes

We've been receiving some amazing feedback over the past week from many different people, and as a result, we've made a few changes and additions. We believe these changes will allow more people to be able to afford to back at the lower tier, and we will be expanding some of the upper tiers as well for those who are interested in other bundles.

Here's a short list of some of those changes:

• We've added a low-end tier called THE RENARIN that will allow people with smaller budgets or who just want to help with what they can to purchase the album at a lower cost. Most Kickstarter-exclusive rewards and add-ons won't be available at that tier, but there will be a few. 
• We've added additional download options for both the Art Book and Album as add-ons
• We've corrected the price of the digital art book. We've set it to $40 and hope that will fit more people's budgets while also allowing us to commission the best artwork for it possible!
• We've added a special Wandersailer Plus tier. We know that there were some who were interested in both joining the virtual choir and in receiving an art book, so we've combined those into a new tier to make it a little easier to accomplish that! We're so excited about building this virtual choir that we'd love to have everyone who's interested join us!

We'll be doing an AMA (Ask Me Anything) on the /r/Fantasy forum on reddit.com on September 19! If you're interested in how we got our name, or about who we are, or what kind of cookies we like - this is your chance to Ask Me Anything!! Tell everyone you know to stop by, create a Reddit account, and build some buzz!

Announcements and Things Coming

There is so much to tell, so I'll just make a list:

• Since we've reached $40K, we're unlocking a few add-ons, as well as adding a few to the page to give you an idea of what's coming. Some will be unlocked in later goals. I'll be making a list for you of what's what, but now you can start seeing some of the great things we have planned. (And there's more coming!) So, check the Rewards and Add-ons sections on the page to see what's new!
• One thing we're unlocking is this: you now have the ability to dedicate a song to a special someone - whether it's a spouse you're celebrating an anniversary with, a daughter who's having a birthday, or a friend - just because that friend is as epic as the music portrays. Currently, we're offering the website version for dedications. We're still determining exactly when, but we will also unlock the ability to dedicate a song in the actual liner notes of the album! (i.e. immortalizing your dedication in the official version of the physical CD)
• One specific addition (that is currently locked) that we'd like to draw your attention to is the Sylphrena fine art prints by Cheryl Walsh Fine Art. We think these are going to be amazing and are so excited and the possibility of commissioning Cheryl for this incredible work! (See below this list for some examples of her past work.) Depending on how high we get, we will also commission her to make some prints of Kaladin with his spear! Huge thanks to Cheryl for providing this artwork!
• We're looking into adding some exclusives (for free) once we hit the $80K mark. These will be instantly added to every tier above The Renarin tier
• We've added a detailed breakdown of which songs will be on the album, based on which goals we achieve!
• Soooo much more coming!! So please share this like crazy and help us meet our goal! (Share with friends, family, media news sources, anyone and everyone!) Tell people about how unique the project is and how excited you and the community are for it!
